Shifnal based web agency Ascendancy has been hand picked by Google out of 30,000 UK agencies for an exclusive High Growth Business Coaching Programme. 15 high growth and high-potential agencies from across the UK have been selected on the basis of their high growth potential and strong Google AdWords results for their clients.
Ascendancy is the only agency chosen from the Midlands region. Working with high profile business coach Robert Craven, who has helped household names such as Virgin, Barclays and Blackberry, the programme will allow Ascendancy’s Director Helen Culshaw to accelerate the agency’s record growth still further.
Helen, who has already attended two coaching sessions, commented: “The whole team is delighted to have been selected for this prestigious programme. It’s great to have our hard work recognised in this way.
“Robert Craven’s input into the business is invaluable, as is the opportunity to work closely with other high growth agencies from around the country.
“The coaching will help us refine our business strategy further over the next 12 months.
“We are growing quickly and expanding our client base so the programme could not have come at a better time.”
Helen founded Ascendancy in 2004 and the company now employs seven members of staff and hosts more than 100 websites for businesses in Shropshire and further afield.
Last year Ascendancy reported a record year for profit and turnover and in the last six months the company, which specialises in Google Adwords, Search Engine Optimisation and Web Design and is an accredited Google Partner agency, has been working on some of its biggest projects to date.
The Google team heading up the mentoring programme narrowed down 30,000 UK partners to a shortlist of 70, which were then handpicked to a select group of 15 agencies.
Robert Craven, who set up his first businesses whilst in the final year of university, will mentor Helen and other agency directors on numerous aspects of the business including sales, marketing, HR and skills development.
