Sporting Wellness is a registered charity that seeks to raise awareness and provide support for positive mental health in sports people aged 16 to 30.
The goal of the charity is to create a network in which representative young sports people can be open and honest about their mental health, and have a greater awareness of their peers’ mental health.
As Sporting Wellness was a brand new venture this was their first website. With their newly designed branding they wanted to make sure the website matched well, with a modern, slick design for the target market of young people in sports.
The website not only needed to be a place where they raise awareness and advertise what they offer but where people can come to get support or support the charity.
With this in mind we made sure that people can easily get in touch with Sporting Wellness through their contact form and easily donate to the cause. It was also important for Sporting Wellness to have the ability to showcase their ambassadors – for this we created a bespoke area for them to be able to upload a variety of images and details about the Ambassadors as this is one of Sporting Wellness main ways of gaining support.
Working with the charity’s founder, former academy level cricketer and student Callum Lea and marketing consultant Beverley Ashton, the new website was launched in 2020 and is getting a great reception.
“We wanted a website that appeals to both young people (as our main target audience) and supporters and potential partners. It needed to be very visual, with lots of images and videos, mobile friendly, and to have an easy to manage content management system. Ascendancy have certainly delivered!”
