An award-winning Shropshire internet marketing company is predicting further growth in 2019 following a hugely successful year which has seen an increase in clients, a continuing rise in turnover and the opening of a design office in Belfast.
Ascendancy, based in Shifnal, was also named as one of 25 companies from across Europe in line for the Google Partners Growing Businesses Online Award.
The firm, which specialises in helping firms of all sizes strengthen their business through digital marketing and improved web design, was launched in January 2004 and this month marks 15 years of continuous growth.
Helen Culshaw, Ascendancy director, said: “These are very exciting times for the company and we are anticipating further growth in 2019. We are taking on more clients as businesses become aware of what we offer and how we can help them become more successful.
“Spending on digital marketing has exploded as businesses are realising its potential, it grew by 44% in 2017 and companies are recognising the huge benefits of being able to target consumers directly through websites and other social media rather than use intermediaries. This is only going to increase.
“We expanded our team in 2018 by taking on a new digital marketing executive, with Gayle Norbury coming on board with a view to helping our clients generate new and repeat sales through their websites.
“Our new Ascendancy Design team is up and running in Belfast and has seen a very positive start. It is headed by senior designer Craig Hodgkiss and he is working hand in hand with our head office in Shifnal to create websites and design branding for clients. I am sure this will lead to further expansion as the company moves forward.
“We are proud of being an award-winning company and are delighted to be recognised within the industry for our achievements. In October Ascendancy was one of 25 companies from across Europe to be shortlisted in the Growing Business Online category at the Premier Partner Awards presented by Google Partners.
“It’s been another amazing year and we are looking forward to even greater things this year.”
