Tough Furniture is a family-run business with over 25 years experience in designing and manufacturing furniture exclusively for the challenging behaviour market. Based at a purpose built factory in Craven Arms, Shropshire, ‘Tough Furniture’ is accredited to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and also offers an award-winning ability to readily customise designs for individual circumstances.
The brief from Tough Furniture was to redevelop their website to meet their needs for the next stage of their business growth. The main aims of the project were to simplify navigation, making it easy for customers to find and buy the products they require, reduce administration by improving the auto-quoting system, update the aesthetics of the website, and better integrate the business’ Hubspot CRM.
To simplify navigation on the site, we streamlined the product categories and implemented a user-friendly search function. We also improved the auto-quoting system, reducing administration and providing a better customer experience. We updated the look and feel of the website, making it more visually appealing and reflective of the Tough Furniture brand.
Finally, we integrated the business’ Hubspot CRM system, bringing significant improvements to customer service performance.
The end result was a website that provided a more user-friendly experience, with improved functionality and aesthetics, and a more efficient and effective sales process.
“We have quite a lot of things happening in terms of new products and our new website provides us with the ideal launching pad to bring them onto the market.
One of the things we wanted to achieve with the new website was getting across the message that our bespoke service means there are a range of choices in terms of individual products. The previous website didn’t really allow us to show our full range of bespoke functionality – that is now available to us with the upgrade.
We are very pleased with the new website – Ascendancy was very professional and listened to what we wanted. A lot of design and marketing agencies generally try to impose a particular view and be quite pushy in setting an agenda, but Ascendancy didn’t do that. They were open to our thoughts about what our website identity needed to be and how we wanted to present ourselves to the world.”
