New Chapters Fostercare is a Shropshire based agency with a family feel providing therapeutic foster placements for looked after children since 2015. Its mission is to provide a new chapter for every child and a place to call home.
For a foster care company, children are at the heart of everything they do and their website needs to reflect that.
Managers were frustrated with their previous web design company and came to Ascendancy because of our reputation – they liked our partnership with Google and the fact we had won Small Business of the Year with Shropshire Chamber.
Ascendancy was asked to create a more child-friendly, interactive website which better reflected the company’s ethos.
It needed to be a modern, engaging site which would respond to the needs of users in every way.
In addition, this project had a tight timeframe. New Chapters wanted to launch the new website on the same day as they moved offices to Upton Magna – a deadline that we successfully met.
As fostering is often an individual and sensitive topic, contact is key. Whilst the new site needed to provide all the necessary information, the ability for users to contact the company directly with individual queries was most important of all.
Ascendancy redesigned the site map to ensure the routes to contact were clear and, to make the site as engaging as possible, our team incorporated live chat, allowing New Chapters to be more accessible than ever, giving real-time feedback.
In addition, we gave the site a fresh modern look with fun interactive designs that would jump out at the user, and improved user experience, putting in place an SEO strategy to help more visitors discover the website.
