Kay Heald is a fully qualified HR practitioner, who provides her clients with 20 years of experience, helping businesses with their employment and HR issues. Kay’s career started in London at the BBC, then moved into Public Relations, before moving across into the HR and training field. Kay developed her interest in specifically helping small and family businesses whilst in London, which led her to relocating in 2005 to Shropshire to set up her own HR Consultancy half way between Telford and Shrewsbury. She now specialises in working with small and micro organisations, which has allowed her to work with local businesses to find practical and tailored HR solutions over the last 10 years.
Kay Heald needed a new and modern website to reinforce her credibility as an expert in helping micro and small businesses with HR needs in the Shropshire area.
We designed the website around Kay’s branding and the colour scheme used throughout for consistency. The new photographs have been used to make the website look more professional and modern. One of the features that has been added to the site is that it now uses a responsive theme, which allows the site to re-size for mobile or tablet users. This allows the site to have easier functionality for these type of users.
One of Kay’s main reasons for a new site was to attract more traffic to it with the possibility of finding new clients. We added a free downloadable resources section so visitors are able to access resources more easily, and the option for visitors to sign up to an email newsletter, which would allow her to use a regular newsletter to gain and retain interest.
“It has been a pleasure to work with Ascendancy – they took the time to find out what I was trying to achieve with my website and offered additional suggestions which have really enhanced the final look and feel of the site. They have made it really easy for me to update and add new content and continue to provide valuable ongoing support. It has been so refreshing to work with Web Designers that are not only highly skilled, but excellent and patient communicators.”
