Bosses at an award-winning Shropshire internet marketing company are celebrating a year of milestones – after moving offices, rebranding and expanding the team – all in 12 months!
Ascendancy, now based in Newport after moving from Shifnal, marked 17 years in business in 2021, working with firms of all sizes to build their business through digital marketing and improved web design.
The company also launched a series of webinars to support e-commerce business across the UK as businesses look to develop and improve their e-commerce offering.
Helen Culshaw, Ascendancy director, has a wealth of business and commercial marketing experience across many high-performing e-commerce businesses and is a renowned public speaker, trainer, visiting lecturer and consultant on digital marketing, with a particular interest in how to deliver “real” business solutions.
She said: “The webinar series has proved a great success and is used to highlight case studies and offer lectures from market leaders and industry experts.
“It has proved extremely useful to firms coming out of the pandemic and wanting a better e-commerce experience for their customers and clients.”
Ascendancy saw rapid expansion of its team, taking on three new members of staff in roles as a web developer, junior web developer and digital marketing assistant.
Helen said: “There was a strong need for these roles to meet the ongoing increase in demand for website creation and development following the pandemic. As we move forward clients are looking for their websites to integrate not only with their own sales systems but with third party systems such as Amazon, ebay or etsy – as these have become more widely used since the lockdowns of 2020.”
The other big news for Ascendancy in 2021 was the unveiling of a rebrand and new website, sharing their ethos as the business world moves forward post-pandemic.
Helen adds: “We came up with the idea of the rebrand and new website to meet the needs of a modern company willing to adapt to life in the 21st Century whilst conveying our unique personality and family-firm feel, which is something that continues to set us apart from other agencies.”
And Helen has big plans for Ascendancy in 2022, with a push on client website work as they aim to support those developing and improving their sites.
She said: “Ascendancy remains focused on delivering business-critical websites, which really make a difference.
“This includes drawing on our vast experience to create websites that provide strong results and facilitate growth while improving traffic flow and online sales.”
