A Shropshire digital marketing company is expecting great things in 2018 after an excellent 2017 in which they increased turnover by 25 per cent, added a number of major new clients to their portfolio – and opened a Belfast office.
Ascendancy, which was founded in 2004, is headed up by director Helen Culshaw, who has been working in the digital marketing industry since 1999.
The business moved to its current premises in Shifnal in 2010, and in 2017 a branch in Belfast was launched.
The company won a number of significant new contracts in the last 12 months, including the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, Kare Plus and Bupa Cromwell Hospital.
Helen said: “We were delighted to start working with the Ironbridge Gorge Museum, which is such a respected brand in Shropshire and beyond.
“We have helped them to achieve an increase in website traffic of 15 per cent this year, and at the same time reduce the cost per click of their paid online advertising significantly. We are looking forward to continuing to work with them in the future.”
Helen said the Ascendancy team had also recently started working with healthcare provider Kare Plus, which is based in Telford and has an 80-strong franchise network across the UK.
She added: “Kare Plus is a real Telford success story.
“They have grown massively in recent years and we have been taken on to manage their website and digital marketing, as well as providing social media packages for their franchisees.
“We are really excited about working with them during 2018 and beyond.”
Another new client for 2017 was Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London, who engaged Ascendancy to rewrite sections of their website, making them both more patient-friendly and more search engine friendly.
Helen said: “It’s fair to say 2017 has been a fantastic year for us. Our client base has grown strongly and turnover has increased by 25 per cent.
“We have also opened an office in Belfast which is really exciting and we are looking forward to continued growth throughout 2018.”
