The Power of Social Media!
With the world becoming more digitally focused, it is a great time to start developing your brand on social media to strengthen and grow your audience.
Many people now use social media to seek out local businesses to learn more about them before going on to potentially buy their products/services due to having a wider brand awareness. By seeing that a company posts regularly, potential customers will see that there is dedication and care being put into the business to help gain their attention. This also shows the user that they are actually in business. With more platforms being introduced pretty much yearly, it can be ideal to stay on top of this to reach new audiences.
One of the many strengths of social media is the ability to connect and collaborate with other businesses, which can lead to the creation of brand partnerships, combining your audiences to reach new potentials. You may see big brands combining campaigns to refresh their audiences when there is a crossover between audience interest. These campaigns can be highly successful when executed well and the two companies compliment each other.
Find Your USP!
To succeed at growing your social media brand, one thing you need to do is show off the USP of your business, so users have a reason to choose you! Ask yourself, what does my business have that others don’t? And when you find the answer, don’t be afraid to shout about it. With the fast-paced nature of social media, you are only given a few seconds to quickly grab an audience’s attention and show them why they should choose you.
Patience is Key!
Although the results achieved have the potential to be amazing, it is important to remember that the path to success can be long and time-consuming. In the vast majority of cases, people/ businesses that became an ‘overnight success’ have often been working very hard at it for many years!. There are many aspects to consider when creating a brand, from following trends to keeping up with a regular posting schedule.
Many people prefer to view businesses on social media due to the increased transparency, they can see how up-to-date the account is and read through comments that people have previously left, this is highly positive for consumers as they get a wider picture without having to look much further than their social media profile, but it means that businesses need to ensure that their social media strategy and “netiquette” (social media etiquette) is highly structured to ensure that mistakes aren’t made.
As a business it is generally important that you update your organic social media yourself, as from experience at Ascendancy we have found that the more personal posts always work best.
