Time to meet someone new!
Say hello to our Digital Marketing Technical Manager, James…
- Tea or coffee?
A single cup of Tea in the office each morning, only a second one if it’s been a particularly tough/long day.
- What is your favourite meal?
Pizza, I could probably eat it every day of the week, a different type/toppings each day, but I try to limit myself to Saturdays with my kids.
- If you could be an animal, what would you be?
A Cat, carefree & lots of sleep involved, something I’ve missed since having children
- Do you prefer dogs or cats?
Low maintenance extra fluffy companions; cats. I’ve two, one I’ve had since he was a kitten and one my wife took in from her brother following a house fire.
- Who would play you in a movie?
- Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
I flew a plane before I drove car. It was a 13th Birthday present & it was brilliant.
- Any funny anecdotes you would like to share?
I fractured my arm by cycling into a stationary car while learning to ride a bike.
- Why do like working for Ascendancy?
We learn all sorts of things about different industries, nice colleagues & environment, challenging/complex puzzles to solve
- What is the favourite part of your job?
Problem-solving real-world issues that help a business to grow or recover from an unexpected change.
- Any secret talents?
DIY, since moving to Newport I’ve had to take down an internal wall & door then build a new wall where the door used to be, cover an old fireplace hole in the living room, repair internal ceilings where the joists weren’t properly attached. Still on my to-do list for 2020 is a bathroom suite, Dining Room floor & kitchen conversion. It’s just another type of problem-solving really.
- What is your favourite thing about Shropshire?
The greenery, rolling fields & woodlands with some lovely places for a walk with the family.
